KAC COVID-19 Response

KAC considers the health and safety of our employees, participants, and their families our priority. With that in mind, we would like to provide you with the following information regarding our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of 3/18/2020, KAC remains open and we intend to provide our essential services for as long as possible. KAC is following recommendations from the CDC and working closely with the Kenosha County Division of Health. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 as it is constantly changing. 

 

The following precautions are in place until further notice:

  • No visitors are allowed onsite.
  • All Early Childhood groups are canceled 
  • All Adult Service community outings are canceled

We are diligently working to keep everyone safe by conducting daily screenings of all employees and participants, increasing our cleaning efforts, and implementing social distancing practices.

RESPONSE UPDATES:

Effective 6/2/2020 the following updates are taking place:

 

Children’s Services

Virtual Home Visits

Children Services staff have been conducting virtual home visits to
provide support to our families from a distance. Virtual home visits will
continue until further notice.

 

Adult Services

Virtual Adult Day Programming

As of [5/18/2020], our Adult Services staff have been providing a
virtual day program for our clients to stay connected. Virtual day program will continue until further notice.

KAC Plan to Re-Open

KAC has a tiered plan to re-open as quickly and safely as
possible. We are taking into consideration the CDC’s guidelines and Kenosha County Kick Start practices to provide the safest plan of operation for everyone involved.  This will be a gradual process starting on 6/15/2020.

ADULT PROGRAM & CARE-A-VAN

KAC COVID-19 UPDATE 3.24.2020

 

ADULT PROGRAM

Effective 3/25/2020 Adult Day Program and Adult Pre-Employment Program will remain open to provide services and care only for individuals with disabilities whose caregivers or guardians perform essential job functions in our community. We are limiting these services to ensure we do our part in stopping the spread.

CARE-A-VAN

The City of Kenosha has made an announcement to suspend all fares on city transit effective immediately. This impacts our Care-A-Van riders. Effective immediately (3.25.2020), we will be suspending fare collection on our Care-A-Van transit service. KAC remains open and committed to the well-being of our families, staff, and community. 

The following precautions remain in place until further notice:

 

      • No visitors are allowed onsite.
      • All Early Childhood groups are canceled. (Including SPROUTS playgroups)
      • All Adult Service community outings are canceled.
      • Early Childhood face to face home visits are canceled.  
      • NEW- Adult Day Program Limited
      • NEW- Adult Pre-Employment Program Limited
      • NEW-Car-A-Van fare collection suspended

EHS and EIP Face to Face Home Visits Are Canceled

KAC COVID-19 UPDATE 3.19.2020

As of 3/19/2020 all face to face home visits in our early childhood programs are suspended until further notice. Early Head Start and Early Intervention will not be conducting in home visits effective immediately. KAC remains open and committed to the well-being of our families and staff.
