This month, we are excited to highlight our Summer Employment Exploration Program, which was initiated in 2016 as part of our commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities. This program allows young adults to explore various career paths, gain valuable work experience, and build essential life skills. Through hands-on opportunities in real-world settings, the Summer Employment Exploration Program helps participants discover their strengths and prepares them for future employment.

Employment is more than just a paycheck. For individuals with disabilities, it can be a pathway to independence, self-confidence, and inclusion. The Summer Employment Exploration Program serves as a critical step in helping participants envision their future and realize their potential. By offering a safe and supportive environment to try different jobs, we help open doors that many may not have thought possible.

One of the highlights of this program is the opportunity to work in a variety of industries. Participants have explored roles in food service, retail, and even administrative work, all while receiving personalized support and mentorship from KAC staff. Each experience is tailored to their individual interests and abilities, ensuring they leave the program with practical skills and newfound confidence.
