Advocacy Organizations, Disability Resources and Links

ARC of Kenosha County serving those with developmental disabilities.

Rehabilitation For Wisconsin, Inc. (RFW) has a variety of services that it offers its members, the business community and those organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

National Center for the Dissemination of Disability Research (NCDDR): Established in 1995, the NCDDR performs research, technical assistance and demonstration activities focusing on the dissemination and utilization of disability research funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
 
Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access (CATEA): Database of assistive technology products as well as electronic links to variety of private and public disability services and resources.
 
American Association of People with Disabilities: This is a membership site that explains the goals and mission of the AAPD
 
Job Access: This is a relatively new site for individuals with disabilities to search for employment opportunities. Employers can also post job openings.
 
Training Resource Network, Inc.: This site provides information on supported employment, self-determination, person centered planning and includes a Job listing service.
 
Wisconsin Council on Developmental Disabilities: The site is of interest to families of and advocates for persons with developmental disabilities.
